Privacy Policy
Last updated October 28, 2026
SkyStats is a flight log. We collect as little as possible, never sell your data, show no ads and don’t track you across other apps or websites.
If you don’t sign in
Everything stays on your iPhone. We receive nothing.
If you sign in
To back up your flights and let you add friends, we store:
- Your Sign in with Apple ID: an anonymous identifier from Apple, and the email Apple shares with us (which can be a private relay address). Your email is never shown to anyone.
- Your username and name, which you choose. Other SkyStats users can see these.
- Your flights: dates, airports, airline, flight number and your in-flight log.
- Your friends list, friend requests, and anyone you’ve blocked or reported.
What friends can see
Only people you accept as friends can see your flights, and only if “Who can see my flights” is set to Friends (you can switch to Only Me any time). Friends see the route, date, airline and flight number of flights from before today. They never see upcoming flights, and never see your in-flight log (sleep, turbulence and the rest).
Things that stay on your iPhone
Boarding pass scanning, the camera and your photos are used only on your iPhone, only when you ask. Pictures are never uploaded.
Service providers
- Cloudflare stores your account and backup, encrypted in transit.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple and the satellite map.
- Shorebird delivers app updates; when SkyStats checks for one it sends the app version and device type, nothing about you.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Your backup, username, friends and reports are deleted right away, and SkyStats is disconnected from your Apple ID. Flights saved on your iPhone stay there until you delete them.
Children
SkyStats isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
